where we are

The Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations worked in partnership with the Executive to arrange a conference on 27 November 2006 at St Mungo's Museum for Religious Life and Art, Glasgow.

The event will bring together small groups, local organisations and projects that are working to tackle sectarianism to identify barriers to bridging divides, and establish links and a network to ensure that the anti-sectarian message gets through to communities across Scotland.

As faith groups are often at the heart of communities and have a role to play in shaping ideas and actions, the Core Liaison Group, which provides a channel of communication between church and faith groups and the Executive, meets every six weeks and features sectarianism as a standing item on the agenda.
